Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the Kitchen Safety App (the “App”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the App. The App helps kitchens and food businesses manage HACCP-related records such as temperature logs, delivery checks, cleaning schedules, and staff access. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

Who we are

In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refers to the operator of the App, Igloo Restaurants LTD. If you need help or want to exercise a privacy right, use the contact method provided by your organization or the support contact shown in the App Store listing.

Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways: (1) information you provide, (2) information collected automatically when you use the App, and (3) information stored by third-party service providers used to run core features. A) Information you provide • Account details: name, email address, password (stored/managed by our authentication provider) • Organization and role information (e.g., manager/staff) • Work area and access settings configured by managers • HACCP operational records you enter (e.g., temperature logs, cleaning tasks, checks, deliveries, notes) B) Information collected automatically • Basic device and app diagnostics (e.g., crash logs, error details, and performance signals) • App usage events needed to keep the service reliable and secure C) Subscription / purchase data • If you subscribe, purchase status and entitlement information is processed via our in-app purchase provider (RevenueCat) and the Apple/Google app stores. We do not receive your full payment card details.

How we use your information

We use information to: • Provide, operate, and maintain the App • Create and manage user accounts, approvals, and access controls • Store and sync HACCP records across devices (when you are signed in) • Enable subscription features and verify entitlements • Improve reliability, troubleshoot bugs, and prevent fraud or abuse • Communicate important service messages (e.g., security or account-related notices) We do not sell your personal information.

Where your data is stored

Depending on how your organization uses the App, your data may be stored: • Locally on your device (for some offline or cached data) • In our backend/database services used to sync your records • By third-party processors that support authentication and subscriptions We take reasonable steps to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Sharing and disclosure

We may share information only as needed to provide the service: • Within your organization: managers may view, manage, approve, or revoke staff access and view records created within your organization. • Service providers (processors): companies that help us run the App (e.g., authentication, database hosting, and in-app purchase/subscription processing). • Legal and safety: if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security. We do not share your data with advertisers for third-party targeted advertising.

Third-party services

The App uses third-party services to provide core functionality. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies: • Firebase (authentication and related services) • RevenueCat (subscription and entitlement management) • Apple App Store / Google Play (purchase processing) Your use of those services is subject to their policies in addition to this one.

Data retention

We retain personal information and operational records for as long as needed to provide the App and support your organization’s compliance workflows, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Managers may be able to export or remove data based on your organization’s settings and subscription level.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. You can also: • Update certain profile details in the App • Request account deletion (where available in the App) • Contact your organization’s administrator if your account is managed by an organization If you request deletion, some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security/fraud prevention reasons.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for use by staff and managers in commercial food operations and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers

If you use the App from outside the country where our servers or service providers are located, your information may be transferred and processed in other countries. We take steps to help ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy in the App and update the “Last Updated” date.
